Who defeated Zeus?

Giants, called GEGENEIS [jee'je-nays and gay'ge-nays], since they were “born from the Earth,” challenged Zeus and the new order of the gods. They were defeated in a fierce battle and were imprisoned under the earth.

Powers and abilities

In most stories, Zeus is one of or the most powerful Olympian god. He has vast supernatural powers with a focus on weather control, but can accomplish nearly anything including shapeshifting, resurrecting the dead, and creating new life.

It should come as no surprise that, in a one-on-one battle of Zeus vs Thor, Zeus would easily triumph.

Zeus was not afraid of almost anything. However, Zeus was afraid of Nyx, the goddess of night. Nyx is older and more powerful than Zeus.

Zeus was killed by Darkseid after he came out of hiding to save his daughter Diana. While the young Darkseid who had absorbed the power of his children was outmatched, he nonetheless leeched away all his power while Zeus was busy pummeling him.

DC's Zeus is far more powerful and stronger than Marvel's Zeus, at least that's how he's portrayed. Although very powerful, the Skyfather's in Marvel are not the top, or near the top of the food chain as they are in DC. The top in Marvel are the cosmic beings, not counting TOAA/TOBA.

However, Zeus was afraid of Nyx, the goddess of night.

There are several detailed accounts of how Zeus used his powers along with the thunderbolt to punish his enemies in one strike.

In a fight, all Zeus would need to do is get his hands on some kryptonite to weaken Superman and easily defeat him. While Superman would likely still give a good fight, it's unlikely he'd be able to defeat a god. Since Zeus has all of the Olympian Gods under his control, finding kryptonite wouldn't be difficult.

The powerful New God known as Darkseid is one of the most powerful beings in the DC universe.

Can Zeus lift Mjolnir?

Unlike the others, Zeus is not worthy to lift Mjolnir, but through a loophole, he can anyway. If Mjolnir is to enter his domain, Zeus's MCU powers should override Odin's enchantment, meaning he can hold Mjolnir.

As such, Zeus decides to grant the Hulk's request to beat him to death in hand-to-hand combat. The Hulk's first blow sends Zeus crashing into a nearby building. Zeus then returns this with an even more powerful blow. The ruler of the Olympians than overpowers the Hulk, and ultimately knocks him off Mount Olympus.

Thor is powerful but he's rarely faced a foe as powerful as the Reverse Flash, one who can hit him a million times before Thor could blink. With powers like his, the Reverse Flash has what it takes to beat Thor.

Trimurti is considered to be the most powerful god as he is a combination of Brahma [The Creator], Vishnu [The Preserver] & Shiva [The Destroyer].

Weaknesses: Passionate over Persephone, the daughter of Demeter, whom Zeus promised to Hades as his bride. (Unfortunately, Zeus apparently neglected to mention it to either Demeter or Persephone.) Impulsive, favoring sudden, decisive actions.

Who wins Zeus or Thanos?

On a normal day, Zeus would wreck Thanos, but he is never winning while Thanos has the Infinity Gauntlet. Thanos using it makes him the strongest being in the Marvel universe. To recap, Thanos using the Infinity Gauntlet killed half the living things in the universe with a thought.

In Justice League when Superman is resurrected, he is easily able to defeat Steppenwolf by himself. In the flashback during Steppenwolf's first invasion, it takes an army of Old Gods, Amazons, Atlantians, men, and even some Green Lanterns to defeat him.

Superhuman Strength: Like all Olympians, Zeus is superhumanly strong. His strength is far superior to the vast majority of his race and he is capable of lifting over 100 tons, without supplementing his strength with his other powers.

Immortality: As the oldest Old God, Zeus is immortal, and has lived for millennia without visibly aging, with him far predating humanity and the Amazons, having created both of these races, as well as even being older than all the other Old Gods.

Who would win Odin or Superman?

Short answer: In standard versions, Odin stomps Superman. Odin wins or at least stalemates against all versions of Superman except Strange Visitor Superman (not including CAS) .

The Presence is the incarnation of the Abrahamic God in the DC Universe. The Presence has the ability to empower various angels, including the Spectre, Eclipso, and Michael Demiurgos.

The Flash (Barry Allen)

His name is Barry Allen and he is the Fastest Man Alive. Easily the most iconic incarnation of the Flash, Barry stands tall in the history of DC's speedsters as the first human to have a connection to the Speed Force.

Michael is nigh-omnipotent. He is supposedly the second most powerful being in the entire DC universe, right after his father. He has managed to defeat powerful beings such as the Spectre. However, his brother Lucifer also matches him in power.

First among the Old Gods was Olgrun. Olgrun was immensely powerful, creating many worlds and bestowing wonders upon them. He was also wrathful, and in his rage slew his own beloved daughter. Eventually, the other Old Gods rose up against him, and warred against him for an age.

The One Above All is the ultimate source of life and creation and the architect/creator of the Multiverse and everything that exists. The One Above All has stated that its "only weapon is love", which was further stated by the Watcher.

Doomsday counts among the evilest Superman villains in DC Comics and perhaps the mightiest overall. His superhuman strength proved so destructive that he killed Superman in hand-to-hand combat in the Death of Superman storyline from the early 1990s, which some fans include in the best Superman comic book arcs ever.

Furthermore, one could make an argument concerning the scope of the two gods' powers. Zeus is the strongest/most powerful god on Earth, whereas Thor is the strongest god in all the nine realms.

What god is Superman?

Mera has notably beaten Aquaman with her aquakinetic powers and even once exiled him from Atlantis when she took control of the throne. Aquaman and Mera usually make things up to one another, but it does go to show that, more than anyone else, Mera is the best at beating Aquaman.

Odin has pretty clearly been shown to be demonstrable more powerful than the other gods. Odin's Odinforce has far outstripped anything Zeus's magical lightning bolts have ever done.

There have been several versions of Hyperion over the years, but the most formidable is the one who joined the Avengers and helped them battle against threats like Thanos and the Beyonders. That Hyperion would be able to defeat Darkseid.

During the massive fight, Orion ultimately kills him by ripping his heart out, which created a firepit of Apokolips from Darkseid's chest cavity (in reference to the prophecy of their final battle).

The Joker

The fact that he's human (ignoring that awful immortality twist in Endgame) makes him that much more real than Darkseid and many of the others on this list. The Joker could be anybody -- as the fiend himself says, “All it takes is one bad day.”

Although he has been sent back to the underworld time and time again, Ares is never truly killed and can ultimately never be defeated. Thanos may be quicker than the Greek God, but he is in no way as powerful.

Odin in the MCU's universe is stronger than Thanos. He defeated, or could defeat, many, many enemies who could possibly defeat Thanos. Like Surtur. Pre-Awakened Thor was weaker than Odin.

One of Zeus' betters is his very own daughter, Athena. Athena is, unquestionably, the most powerful god in DC's Greek collection.

How did Zeus get killed?

Kratos fought Zeus furiously and managed to deliver several powerful blows, as he stated he would kill Zeus for his actions. Enraged at his defiance, Zeus unleashed his full might on the vengeful warrior in the form of a deadly electrical storm. Kratos stabs Zeus with the Blade of Olympus.

Poseidon was a part of Hera's rebellion and he did so to become king. He argued with the other gods over Zeus' place, and was defeated by Zeus when Briares freed him.

1. Apollo: Zeus' Best-Known Son. Of all the sons Zeus fathered, Apollo is perhaps the best known. Apollo was conceived during an illicit affair between Zeus and Leto (Zeus was married to Hera at the time), along with a twin sister named Artemis.

Prometheus loved man more then the Olympians, who had banished most of his family to Tartarus. So when Zeus decreed that man must present a portion of each animal they scarified to the gods Prometheus decided to trick Zeus.

Athena and Aphrodite can defeat Zeus.
